Right this might be quite a long winded explanation:

My A3 has had a new Cambelt, Head Gasket and radiator but its smoking abit, no smoke whilst its ticking over, no smoke when im driving unless i boot it.
Ive heard it might be a valve seal problem (i know these werent changed when i had my head gasket done). So without having to take the head off and check the valve seals ive brought some fluid that i put in the petrol tank, which is ment to help the seals?

Mainly i want to know is my diagnostic right?

and has anyone used this fluid, mines castrol valve protection (i think).

Or any other suggestions?

Thanks

What colour is the smoke? this can help you narrow down the areas to look at.

well its a tint of blue in the smoke, but i think ive got it sorted with the valve seal proble so without taking the head off ive used some stuff that ive put in my oil, to hopefully sort my valve seals.

Lets hope so. Blue smoke among other things tends to be oil mixing with the fuel before it burns. Piston rings being the first place to look. Either way good luck!
