VW radio has a mind of its own

Noticed this the other day when i was driving home, the radio/CD volume kept going up and down when i wasnt touching the controls.

Now i did a bit of research and found that VW radios have a "speed dependant" volume option called GALA.

So i went back out to the car and switched the gala function to "0" but the radio/CD is still going up and down when im driving.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this, its so annoying :zx11:

dont know mate, i find it a great thing, round where i live there are the kids that think its great sat at the lights with some junk playing at full volume, i dont want to hear it the same as they wouldnt want to hear mine, i think all radios should have this fitted so when a car is stopped the radio cant annoy anyone else

im not old, and i do like loud music but there is no need to make everyone else hear it in the middle of town, rant over lol

My radio did the same thing for the first time a couple of days ago and it is not the speed dependant function because it shows the volume scale like your turning the knob yourself. It's at the dealers now so hopefully they will sort it. ;)
