Vagcom verision

Hi,

Does anybody know if Vagcom 908.0 and a compatible cable are enough to make most alterations to an 2009 Audi A4 (B8)? I know the current version is 908.2.

The alterations I need to make are:

Alter DRL behaviour (full brightness/rear lights as DRL etc.)
Enable dial sweep
Enable brake light flash under emergency brake
Enable lap timer
Is this possible with software version 908.0?

Not sure why you're asking. They're all free downloads so why wouldn't you just get the latest version.

The cost is in the cable.

I've done about three upgrades since March '09 so I'd bet the previous versions work fine... for what it's worth.

Thanks for the response. It's true that updates are free downloads for those using genuine cables.

However, non-genuine cables can only be used with certain versions. Updates will block some non-genuine cables from being used.

I'm not sure how anyone can advise on a fake cable from an unknown source. :confused:

So what is the question? Will your cable work? No idea :(

I thought it was only the really old non-canbus versions that worked with 3rd party cables and if it's non canbus then it's no good for the A4.
