I drove my tdi from devon, to Crewe, across to Dewsbury, back to Crewe and then back to devon, total of 835 miles, had my brother and parents in the car aswell as suitcase's in the boot, using cruise most of the time doing 80ish (sorry officer i mean 70) and ive worked it out i was getting 45mpg now i know it could of been a little better but still i dont think thats to bad

my cars a 1.9 tdi 105 bhp

what sort of mpg is everyone else getting?

I get 48 overall which is not bad given that I do a lot of short stuff and live in a hilly area so my TDI is often going up hills when cold!

On a trip to the Cotswolds recently, I brimmed the tank afterwards and found the mpg was nearly 55 mpg.

The consumption is almost identical to a Bora I had - possibly not quite as good because I did get 58 on a long holiday drive in that car.

Last few days I've done a fair bit on the motorway and averaged 52-55mpg. 2.0 TDi.

Round South West London I'm mainly getting 36-44 mpg depending on traffic.

Last week was half term, I got 55mpg driving to work!
