View Full Version : Problem with rear floor mats

Bought some genuine floor mats off ebay and although the front ones are perfect and fit the studs perfectly, the rear ones are a bit confusing. They have stud holes but there are no studs to attach them to. They did come with some studs with a spike and screw so presumably you're supposed to "install" the studs into the carpet of the car????

Am I completely wrong? The instructions were worse than useless.

Many thanks

Frank

They are a bit confusing, you screw the studs into the carpet as you have said. I am not really sure why they didnt just fit them from factory like they do in the front.

I really don't like the sound of that! I think I'll just do without the studs in the rear. They can't go anywhere in the rear anyway....

I fitted the studs to the rear of mine and they are very easy to do, they only screw themselves into the carpet and not the floor itself and are extremely good at holding the mats in place.

I've had another look and I think I will install them after all....Don't like the idea of putting 4 holes in the carpet though!
