Just had a pre holiday check under the bonnet and thought best check the power steering fluid. I know the car has it ,as you cant turn the wheel when the engine isnt running. So WHERE is the power steering fluid reservior or is it some fandangled sealed system you dont have to top up? OR am I loosing the plot?:aargh4:

ask yourself these questions;
1) is the power steering working ?
2) how far are you travelling on your holiday?
if it's working why do you need to look at it?
are you going to be travelling a greater distance than you would normally travel between checks?--obviously no you are not,because you don't know where it is,and haven't checked it ever before.
why get concerned about it now?
garages,especially vag, are world wide,if it goes wrong you'll find one.
i'm trying to say don't worry,just go and enjoy yourself,

your car should have electric power steering (not driven off the alt belt) but by a motor, ive just looked on the service program on auto data and the DONT list p/steering oil grade or cap, and its not on the service schedule to check the level, i hope this puts your mind at ease
