I have just bought a 06 reg Golf MkV Gt TDI 2.0 5 door, my first attempt at this brand of car though had a faultless Audi A2 for 4 years!
It is great car apart from a major creak coming from the passenger side and the right of the two middle air vents in the dash. It is intermittent but usually comes in after you hit a bump, if you hold the chrome edged adjuster tightly it eliminates teh problem, obviously you cant hold it forever!
Passatt guy on here has said plastic free silicone spray works sometimes?
Car is still under warranty and in for service next week but dont hold out that they will entertain this problem.
Anybody know if its easy to get these vents out of the dash without taking the car to bits, sure i could fix if i got my hands in !
