DBW/Non-DBW?

Hey,

Looking at getting my car remapped and there is a price difference between a DBW 1.8t and a non-DBW 1.8t.

What is DBW? and how can I tell which one I have?

Its a 1998 A3 1.8t sport ..... think engine code AGU/AUG?
