Iv just bought a audi coupe 20E and already want to start making it look nicer and go better. I also bought a v6 abc code engine and am wondering how difficult it is to fit into the coupe. Has anyone done this and if so could they give me some advice or is there a better engine i can put in with out to much hassle.

I have just discovered that my v6 abc coupe utilises a different front sub frame assembly to that of the 4 cylinder cars, in that the gearbox mounts are also fitted to the s/frame.
I also read with interest that Zollaf ( a coupe expert ) on this forum believes that the 16 valve ace engine is more racier or thrashier than the v6.
ABC V6 150 bhp and a bit heavier than 4 pot ace 16 v with I believe 140 bhp
Keep searching the 4 pot engines and you decide

thanks mate. i shall think about selling the V6 and look for either a 16v or ideally id like a UR quattro engine:Blush:

another question if you dont mind, how hard would it be to put the 1.8 20v turbo from the B5 A4 into my coupe?? this is a little project car that i want to do up over time so just want to get some ideas.

cheers
Ray.

I think there was a thread on here recently about a similar transplant project but there was issues with positioning some parts, maybe the donor engine was from a transverse A3 and that was where the issue was,but do a search in the archives and something will turn up
