Hey people,

This morning i got in my car, with my seat belt on, got to work, grabbed the keys for work and drove the short journey to my building. Half way up the road i realised that my seat belt chime wasn't shouting at me. My mate got in the passenger side and we started fault finding. He unclipped his seat belt and the chime sounded, i took mine off and...... Nothing????

I spoke to VW and they said they would need it for a whole day to diagnose the fault, WHAT!?!?!

All i'm really worried about is if the Driver seat belt chime is connected to anything else, i know the passenger airbag is activated by the pressure switch in the seat. Not really bothered about the chime, just the airbag in case i have a bump.

Any ideas

Dan

Under the drivers seat are two wire connectors, one does the seatbelt chime and I believe the other involves airbags. If you have had a passenger in the rear behind you they may have disconected it accidently with their foot.
If the chiming is annoying just leave it. I disconnected mine as the chime drove me mad!!!!!!

I'll Have a look but i don't think anyone has been in the back. If i leave it disconnected will it not deactivate something like the airbag?
