Ha! The handbag goes with the girl...the girl goes just nicely with the car :D
I'm not 100% on the size of the rims...I haven't had the car that long. I'll find out and post back up when I get her back from the shop.

my guess it they are 17's.. the 18's look to fill the arches that little bit more..
or.. it could be a SE model, which is sat a little higher than the sport/sline,

Im going with it being a Sport model due to the twin exhausts and the 5-spoke alloys. The alloys are 17" and take 235/45 17 tyres. I have a 3.0 Quattro Sport in the same gun metal grey, mine however has the Votex body kit which adds further to the overall look, doesnt have look good gleaming in the sun! Nice motor mate!

You could go over the top and opt for 235/35/ZR19 RS6 alloys like mine: lol :D

The rims are 17's. I was led to believe it was a sport model when I bought the car from the dealership. As I'm new to the Audi world...how can I tell the difference (other than the steering wheel :))?

Absolutely. Well said Rick.
J7USS,
Hadn't seen your car pic for a wee while. You couldn't send me a poster-size pic so I can pin it up in my bedroom so that I can look at it while I ..........
What a transformation you've made to that car.

Thanks Guys, Im sure I can sort out a few Larger Pics for you JR001.;)
Yes I wanted to go for a bodykit I havnt seen on an A4 yet so I chose the Reiger from Germany.
Apparently there is a few of them now in the UK but I havnt seen them yet. I know of one guy in Newcastle with the same front and sides on his avant.

It's not an SE, it's a left-hooker so the model designations are different.
Darn fine car all the same.

The rims are the stand S-line... these are called STAR..
Check out ebay.. these always loads going... ensure you get A4 not A3 as the offset is different..

What's the biggest size alloys the A4 B6 can take before you have to change the spring coils and shocks? Is 19" the biggest or will 20" fit too?!

look at my pics, mine are 18s, on low profiles, and from just the pictures there a massive gap between the arch and tyre, everyone that quoted me for wheels, recommended 19s but i reckcon that 20s would fit, but would defo have to make sure you get the right offset, and really low pro's

You can Put 20's on no problem. Seen it done on a Black TDi with votex kit, It had the 20inch A8s on and looked a beast. Ill see if I can dig some pics out. You can run them on standard suspension if you want but recommend Upgrading.
oh and I forgot the mention the TDi was lowered 20mm aswell from standard height, a little shaving of the inner arches just as a precaution seen the job done.
Ive heard the bigger the wheel the harsher it is on a diff (if quattro).
I wanted an inch bigger to make them 20's but the specific tyre was too pricey for what I wanted so I opted for 19's.
tony_anon
10-06-2007, 12:16 AM
Ok, so 19" are safe to put on without lowering? Mine are standard 16" at the moment so an upgrade to 19" would be most noticeable!
J7USS
10-06-2007, 06:22 PM
Yes mine were 16" same as 'RickT' and I upgraded to 19s without any hassle at all!!

You should consider getting a set then because they look fantastic on your car mate!!
Yeah my front bumper is the full Bumper, the rear is the add on bottom piece. The kit was supposed to be £900 but I haggled them down to £700 with Roof spoiler and delivery thrown in. Reckon I could have got it cheaper though.
