Volks MK2 seats in a Ur Quattro

I have heard form several people, that swapping seats from a MK2 GTI into my '83 Ur Quattro is a fairly straight forward thing. Can anyone corroborate this, and if so just how straight forward is it? Will they work on the Audi seat rails without modification?
