arm rest ipod docking station

My mate has a ipod docking station for my arm rest, but the thing is will it fit in my GT-TDI arm rest.
1)Will i require any added parts or will it go straight in?
2)Is the wiring loom there that i require or will i have to visit the dealers?
3)What modification will i have to do to make it fit in my arm rest?

Hi M24man.

No, it won't fit your armrest. You'll need to replace the armrest for the one that the CD changer fits into. There was a thread on the MK5 section of the forum about replacing the armrest a while back so try a search and see if it pops up.

No, I'm afraid there is no wiring installed for the ipod dock. It uses the same control cable as the armrest 6 disc CD changer unit and is available from the dealer.
