I have a pair of OEM xenon headlights, what do i buy? there are so many HID conversion kits but i heard some of the lights are no good for the projector?!?
Once i put the headlights in my car, what will i need? a kit? standard bulbs? what are ballasts?
I really do want the 6000k bulb, slight hint of pink, then light blue.
Total newbie with HID, so please explain, Thanks guys :)

They will be legal as i will have them wired to the RIGHT CECM, only thing i heard is the headlight washers, thats complete bull as headlight washers do the same thing, wash the headlight when you decide to activate the washers your self, so i can wipe them clean my self...
They dont work as auto wash do they? i don't think so.

i'm not saying your setup is illegal, just i don't know what's involved in making the whole setup legal.
i think headlight washers activate automatically with every 5th window spray when the lights are on, but that's just what i've read as i don't have them myself.

Went to 2 different mot places, turns out there are more cars without washers and xenons on the road and is perfectly safe to drive WITHOUT WASHERS.
Hope those guys who told me this arent cow boys, ehhh what the hell, i know my mot will pass, police can pee off an all.

Hi,
Do you know the bulb size the units take? If you can let me know I can advise which of our kits we will be able to supply.

If you can get the xenon head light units installed using the cabin head light adjustor, it will be simple to do..
All you then require is an after market HID kit to fit into the units... ie.. bulb and ballasts..
If you try anf go down the route of fitting OEM xenons and auto leveling, it will cost you a few quid and coding is required..
I dont know anyone yet who has managed to retro fit the OEM kit to the golf..
Everyone seems to just fit after market kits..
In regards to the MOT, as long as the beam patten is correct, it will pass the MOT, MOT stations just need to ensure the light looks white ish.. They have no power to fail the car due to the kits if adjusted correctly.
