Hi, hope someone give me a bit advice please, i have a 1996 cabriolet and would like to change the steering wheel as it is looking very shabby.

I quite like the S-line steering wheel but dont know if one from another model would fit?

any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks

Just be aware that around 1998 the steering wheels changed on the cabriolets. So a wheel from a later car won't be a straight fit. The later wheels have a larger fitting hole and the you will need the adapter sleeve that slides on to the steering column to make it fit. Thats the easy part though as the airbag connectors are also different and i'm also sure the airbag control unit is different too. It would be best to find a three spoke sport wheel from an earlier car so its a straight fit. They are pretty hard to find in good nick though.

No problem at all. I learned the hard way and bought the wrong one!

Cheers.
