Mk 6 GTD Engine Serial Number

Hi, does any one know where I might find where the engine serial number stamped on the engine?

I seem to recall seeing a picture I think in maybe ETKA which shows it on the timing cover close to the crankshaft pulley. I don't really think you will read it as anything on the engine is difficult to access.

Though timing covers aren't the normal place as they can be replaced its generally on the engine block but again you won't read it. ;)
