Hey All, im wanting to chip my 08 Avant 2Ltr Tdi S-Line 140bhp, needing a bit of advice. How much of an increase in bhp did you go ? Was there vast improvements in accleration, torque, top speed, fuel economy ? Is the engine more than capable in handling the extra bhp ? How much did it cost ? And from where ? Would recommend doing this ?

Hi,
There are a lot of site supporters on here so take a look and drop them a PM: http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=215
Prob best to go to someone local to you just incase you have any issues, dont rush into anything do your research about the mapping comanies.
I have used 2 companies on this forum and I am very happy with both the outcomes.
I have the same engine as you right now and wrote up a review of my recent remap: http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=93475&highlight=site

Do most decent remaps get rid of the horrible 1st gear limited power function that Audi add (and I hate) ????
Had a few TDIs before this, including a 150hp Leon, this never had any first gear limiting and was more than fine to drive - even after a 199HP remap !

Any decent re map will improve throttle response no end... which is a really big plus point...
With the Diesels the huge whollop of torque you get from a remap is just awesome... i had my old TDI 130 Quattro re mapped... A friend of mine drove it who's usual run about was a 200 BHP TT... He was knocked out by how fast it was!
I guess at some speeds the higher gear pull was greater than his sporty TT... which impressed him a lot...
