Insert plastic wedge -T10039/1- between brake light and spoiler, as illustrated. Drive wedge between brake light and spoiler by hitting it lightly with the palm of your hand and remove high-level brake light unit -M25- from rear lid. Before you do so place a strip of adhesive tape on the body work to prevent paint damage.

Gti Ver.Removing
– Switch off ignition and all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.
– Remove roof edge spoiler → Rep. Gr.66.

– Remove the two bolts -2- from the inside of the roof edge spoiler.
– Release the catch -1- and take the High level brake light bulb -M25- to the rear out of the roof edge spoiler.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When installing observe the following:

Yes I can see that, on this forum which is sponsered by VAG you are not allowed to publish their documents, that is why I need an email to provide further info.
I warn you, it is not an easy job as the spoiler has to be unglued from the body, the light unbolted, and the spoiler glued back on.
Special Glue, special tools required.
