Hi all,
I have just replaced my concert head unit with a sony mex-bt3700u. Ive used an autolead PC9-408 for the fully amplified BOSE system which mine is. However, the radio doesnt keep any of my settings or presets.
Any ideas? Car is Audi A6 C5 on 2000 X plate
Many thanks
Mark

Hi Mark!
This is an easy one.
Swap over the Red + cable with the Yellow + cable.
One is for switched power and the other is for fixed... Some cars are the other way around.
This will fix the issue... You may find that on the Sony cabling there is a split in both the red and yellow cables in the middle where u can swap them over

Thanks! worked a treat, makes you wonder why they dont supply them like that or at least tell you this maybe the case.
I have had to set my balance towards the right now as centred seems to be very quiet on the right. Any ideas?
FM & AM reception is hardly the greatest either despite the powered aerial adapter i bought also..................

They dont supply it like that as different cars have these cables in different positions.
Not sure about the balance... Do you have a BOSE or standard system?
Also do you know if the car came with a built in sub?
The aerial amplifier... Did you connect the blue cable? If not I'll tell you how to

Apparently it is a BOSE fully amplified system, it has the sub in the rear with BOSE all over the speakers. The adapter cable I used in the end was for that system as another one the shop used kept popping? I connected the blue cable to the amp remote lead from the stereo.......

The blue cable to the AMP remote is fine... I dunno why this didnt work, was it ok with the OEM head unit?
If you have the BOSE system then you will need to buy the correct wiring loom for it... This is becuase the BOSE system has seprate AMP's and in order for it to work via the amps you will need to connect it up.

You see it has the pre-out's for the BOSE amp's
