I have a 2001 Golf V5, with some weird elctrical issues, just wondering if anyone has come across this and what route they took to solve them.
Randomly every now and then, interference comes out from the radio, as you accelerate it gets louder. Normally I turn the ignition on and off and this gets rid of it, sometimes all the clocks wind back to zero.
I had tried to keep driving the car when this happens and whilst stopped at the traffic lights, the car turned itself off and the hazards, and dash lights started flashing on and off.
Yesterday I had the windows down for a change and as I pushed the button to shut the window, on closure of the window, the mysterious noise appeared and now my temperature display on the dash now thinks its -209 degrees, and various other random things, so now I have to listen to the computer go 'BONG' to tell me its freezing outside when its boiling hot!
I have been told it sounds like a shared or dodgy earth somewhere, but whats the best way of finding which circuit its affecting?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
