Which Spark Plugs ?

Hi All !
Going to get my Dad to change the sparkplugs in my car.
2001 MK4 1.6s 16V Golf 62500mls. (AZD).
I believe the reccomended plugs are platignum tipped, though which should I be using, bosch, ngk, champion ?
Is it straight foward or are any special tools needed to do this ?
Any tips, advice or help greatfully recieved.

Quick update !
Spoke with VW thismorning.
Gave them the chassis number and they came back and said that the car came out of the factory with Bosch Gold tipped plugs, VW part number 101905601, and this is what they reccomend.
This conflicts with various other parts suppliers who say that the platignum tipped plugs are what is reccomended,for my engine code ( AZD).
Anyone ????

101905601 are the correct plugs for the AZD engine

I agree with VW that the 01 AZD should only use VW number 101 905 601 which is Bosch part number 0 242 236 566 and is a Bosch FR 7 HPP 33+. If you have any worries about this plugs quality, you can take comfort in the knowledge that it is also the plug fitted to the Audi A8 W12 and they are Yttrium not gold.
