I purchased a Mk5 Gti early, March, last year and was delighted with it until I took it on a track day to Oulton Park :D. Obviously it was still a fantastic car but there were others on track which totally outperformed the standard specs :(.
I searched the forum for remapping options and settled on the Revo option.
This led to me contacting Votex of Congleton :beerchug:,
independent VW/Audi specialists with the Revo franchise.
They could not have been more helpful and Mike, the tuning specialist, explained all the available options and recommended his preferences.
He subsequently tranformed the car's performance taking it to another level without compromising routine trips to the shops, ride comfort or terrifying the missus!:biglaugh:
Not only was my delight renewed but the service I had received from Votex left a warm glow of satisfaction, rare these days!
So much so that I have just had the cam belt service done by them.
Once again a very satisfactory experience.
The customer service offered by this outfit is second to none. O.E. parts, courtesy car and my car was returned on time and gleaming after being washed and they still undercut the VW dealership by a considerable margin!
Maybe the best testament to the service offered is that they are 60 miles away from me, 120 miles round trip but the peace of mind is worth every inch!
Thanks VOTEX:fest30:

Can't fault the REVO remap at all. Not had any problems, car pulls like a train from anywhere with no dip in power but still has perfect manners in town.
The engine was good for a smile before but now it brings a permanent grin :biglaugh:

cheers for reply, have you had and parts changed since, due to wear and tear from the remap, ive read somewhere that the diverter valve is prone to split . also did you go for the option with the switch, and have you had any problems taking it back to main dealer for service.

I have a manual 05 plate. I had only the stage 1 remap wih no additional parts. I was advised not to go for the switch option as its not needed for the Stage 1.
The only change is that its mapped for super unleaded fuel.
Votex did a full service at the time of the remap and have since done the routine cambelt change. I have had no issues with parts failures and I have tried to justify the remap with some spirited driving!
As the car is out of warranty I haven't been back to a main dealer with it but will continue to use Votex.
I would suggest that you call in and have a chat with them.
If you do decide to use them I would be interested to hear your views.
Don't forget they offer a trial!

Will definatly go and see them. I'm down to 2 now. It's either the revo
or bluefin, I've heard so much good things about
both products .
