I am not too sure how to read this number:
WAUZZZ8LZWA.....

I know that only 3 letters count regarding the engine specifications, but which ones?

I dont know for sure, but i think you can't get it from that.

its on the Cam cover on mine.

WAUZZZ8LZWA....this is not the engine number it is part of the vin number
The engine number ("Engine code" and "Serial number") can be found at the front joint between engine and gearbox.
Additionally there is a sticker on the toothed belt guard showing the engine code and serial number.

I found it by chance when entering my reg number into a spare part supplier: eurocarparts.com. It shows up along the engine size, colour, etc.
