Hi all,

Just posted this on audizine but trying to find a more uk based forum, thinking this is it. Anywhoo got my 19" RS4 reps fitted today (235/35/19 x 8" et42) and also managed to reskin my wood interior with 3M carbon fibre stuff at the weekend thought I'd share.

That is a great job and looks brilliant
Was the re trim hard to do and was it expensive

It's pretty cheap, £40 delivered, did enough for all the trim.

Not bad where did you get it from Tim and did you remove the panels to fit it or was it a steady hand

I got the carbon from here www.carbon-vinyl.com (http://www.carbon-vinyl.com) was the 600mm x 1200mm bit, just enough to do everything. I removed all the trim, do this http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?116381-B6-A4-S4-Interior-Trim-Removal

That trim does look great! I am very tempted to give it a go for that price!

nice job

a few of my alloy trim parts are scratched so this looks like the ideal option for me.

did you need to use heat on the contoured parts to get it to mould to the shape or is it just stretched?

Yeah, you need a heat gun, about £20 from B&Q. Its quite tuff stuff when its cold but almost goes like lycra when it goes hot but not for long, you have to be quick.

just got my carbon film this morning and ive done a few bits already.

its very easy to work with but it does take alot of care and attention and i'd say if you are not very good at stuff like this then keep away.

patience is the key with this i reckon. and a heat source is a must, im using the missus's hair dryer lol

Might give this a go! Tried it with some cheap crap a while back, wasnt even worth swearing about, just threw it in the bin!

Interior looks veryy nice, like the wheels too :beerchug:
