No management light on but been experiencing sudden and temporary (few seconds) power loss.Might happen once or twice a day through two hours use.Seems to stumble at pullaway or whilst accelerating usually around 3k revs.As said no engine light comes on,did get a code for G247 high pressure sensor out of ecu but cleared it as not sure how old the fault was.Did change that sensor anyway and also MAF sensor in manifold.Today when this fault appeared briefly the battery light came on,engine had not stalled, and on another occasion the radio switched off. After a few seconds the fault goes power returns, the battery light goes out and the radio switched on.I have also cleaned the throttle body which was mucky.Did notice the large inlet manifold is mucky inside, probably due to various recycle hose inlets.Have also taken out high pressure pump to check the cam follower bucket which was ok.Have been told by an Audi tech that the throttle body arrangement on the engine was only in production for six months before it was superceded if that helps at all.The engine never stalls simply pegs back on power then kicks back in.All input greatfully received as these temporary faults drive you mad.

I would say the in tank lift pump is failing.
