What car do you have, model engine etc, the more information you can give the better.

A4 allroad 2009 mmi3g ,2.0tfsi.
i did a retrofit of a reverse camera and when i stiped the can bus main diagnostic plug to fit the can bus wires from the controler ,all was good but the fault came up.try to clear it but is on all times.i rechecked all wiring ,no luck.i even removed my retrofit cables and still no luck. However while i was doing the retro and had the can bus plug terminator off i start the ignition, the car didnt start and then i remembered to plug in the terminator :).i have no other faults on my car and the reverse camera works ,there is no warning light on my air bags and it picks up the controlers and the air bags with no fault....
any ideas?

I don't think you have a fault. I think it has recorded the fact that you turned on the ignition with the plug out. So it is a memory of a fault, not an actual fault. If airbag communication was still missing you would have an error code now.

hello thanks for your interest, my question is any fault should be able to get erased if it is not there anymore? So if the case with the memory was the issue then why it comes back on after i erase it with vag com ?
thanks ARI
