Hi

Bought VCDS to enable the autohold retrofit I did over xmas - all went fine.

Playing around with it now and trying to learn more stuff, but could anyone tell me why all the measuring blocks in the engine module to do with temperature don't match whats on my gauges in the car.
The ones I presume to do with engine coolant read 80 (or 79.9) when my temp gauge reads 90.
The outside temp is also out by a few degrees.

Apart from a proper service repair manual (no budget for that at the mo) where can I get a list of what all the measuring blocks are for (in all the modules)

On a different point, the EDC 15-16 section to read the engine mileage, doesn't work (says function not available or something). Is this normal on a 3c passat (56 plate) or do I need to be worried.

Thanks in advance

Andy

the temp guage in the car is calibrated to stay at 90 degrees when the car is running it will read 90 when the car is actually only at 70-75 or if its at 100-110
it will only deviate if it actually overheats
to read milage go to 17 dash- data blocks and i think it 09 and it will give you milage

Thanks for the info.

The temp thing seems like a daft design! Good job they didn't do the same with the speedometer.

The measuring block in the instruments module will only show the same value as in the dash, won't it?
I was looking to double check it by using the EDC thing which gives an approx. value using a different method (not sure how)
