egr valve location polo 2001 1.0e

hi, my car strted revving up and down and kept cutting out on low revs today made it home thought it'd be throttle body so removed cleaned it etc but it still revs up and down when i remove the throttle body sensor it stops reving up and down which did make me think it was that but ive just done a 2nd diagnostic scan and it only comes up with one code 17852 which is the egr valve can any1 point out to me where it would be located and how easy it's be to replace etc thank you its a 6n2 polo mk5 one with square lights facelift

the egr valve is located at end of cylinder head
not too bad to replace 2 nuts
1 vac hose
2 bolts for metal pipe
it may just need cleaning

hi thanks for the swift reply,
ive taken it out how do you clean it ive just sprayed carb cleaner in it but still revving and didnt no the coolant gets drained did i take the right part off? lol

p.s

there was two holes i could spray carb cleaner into sprayed loads but no improvement thnks

ive not done a egr on a 1000cc polo but i clean then with innotec deblock which is quite expensive to do just this job as a one off

No point cleaning it, fit a new one but it will need setting up with a diagnostic system in Basic Settings 074 and 075 or it will burn out very quickly.
