Hi. I am a site 'virgin' and a relatively new convert to RS4's. I will shortly be looking to purchase an RS4, budget c35k and until very recently have limited my search to the used car locator on audi.co.uk.

I want a car that is only 3yrs old and with not much more than 20k on the clock. There are some nice examples on the site but all black and I've set my heart on a sprint blue.

I notice fontain have one with 12k on the clock but have read some mixed reviews of their service etc. does anyone have experience in dealing with them or can anyone recommend anywhere else non-franchise or am I better off sticking with audi.co.uk?

thanks

Late reply but...... i've spoken with fontain in the past about used cars and they were friendly and helpful. They're a large company and certainly not "cowboys". Go and see the car and make up your own mind. All traders are required by law to give you a 6 month warranty (slight legal debate as to whether it's 3 or 6 months) so you really don't have anything to worry about. You'll pay a premium at a franchised dealer. Why not ask fortain to upgrade the warranty to a year for you free of charge for extra piece of mind, i'm sure they'd be happy to chuck in the extra chunk for you. Don't let the "cowboy" dealers put you off independant specialists, we're not all mean!

Thanks for that advice. Don't mean to be cynical, just spent 15 years working for a manufacturer (not Audi incidently) and it tarnishes your view of independents, probably unfairly. Thanks again.
