Independent garage in Southampton?

Hi

My wife has a B5 1999 TDi Sport Saloon which requires a 180,000 service (cam belt), brake pads and a couple of other things attending to. We have had the car from new and it is still going strong and is a lovely drive

Anyone know of a good independent in the Southampton area?

I'm not sure about Southampton, but there is a indie vw (all german manufactuer) specialist near Port Solent (Fareham).

They're on the net as "germanautoengineering". A german bloke called Cornelius owns the place and the vw corrado club use it.

Not been there myself though so i can't comment on them personnely.
