Hello everyone.

I have a Golf '02 reg, SE model.
The stereo I think was an added option on the car. Its got a normal sized head unit with a tape player (no idea why!), radio and controls which is a standard head unit size, but also has above it a 6 cd altochanger which is almost double the hight of a standard head unit.

I dont like the controls and want to be able to play MP3 cds, and have an USB input for ipod and phone. I'm going to get a new headunit this week that does everything.

But my problem is... What do i do with all the left over space?

I can find covers that hid the space, but what I would really like is an empty box with a cover that opens up. Does anyone know where I might find one that will fit? or have any other solutions.

At the moment it looks like I am going to be stuck with the redundant multi changer untill I find a solution.

I've recently bought a 'double din' headunit, which is basically a 7 inch touchscreen headunit to fit in both slots. Do a search for 'double din' and you'll get my jist.

I bought a JVC AVX820, and have no complaints!! It has dvd, touch screen, and bluetooth; so you can connect to your phone for calls and playback of any music on your phone!
