Cambelt tensioner ABK engine

Hi, doing a whole host of jobs on my coupe tomorrow..Bought a new cambelt tensioner (piston/pinion type) from Audi (£62 Ouch!!) Anyone know offhand if i remove the dual prong/clip to start the tension or just pull clips apart?:biglaugh:
