PD 150 crack problems

Hi Guys,

I'm thinking of getting a PD130, my mate can get it fiddled with to produce 180bhp, will this develop the same problems as the 150 because of the power or does the 150 have a different set up?

Please help before i wst my cash!!!

if you want to go down the moders road, take a look at the TDi club web site, it will give you all the info you need to mod your engine, which you could get over 200bhp from it if you spend the cash,

The 130 and 150 engines are identical in their block and head apart from the pistons are a different part number. What separates the two is the turbo and the intercooler plus the mapping. In some ways a remapped 130 is a nicer drive than a remapped 150 but the 150’s problems can be mostly overcome by doubling up the oil changes.
