My car is in the garage to do checks on the Airbag. I received a phone call from them saying that, the Airbag is coming on due to the faulty crash sensor driverside. They are also doing further checks on the suspension, so its still there.

How much would a crash sensor cost if I get it then from a garage? I have found one on ebay but not sure if it will fit.

Heres the link:

Ive just changed the same on may car, the sensors fail due to moisture ingress. they are £79 from audi - the one in the link is the correct one - although id be dubious using a second hand sensor.

if your fititng this mate, let me know, and ill let you know exactly how to do it - if your handy its a nide easy job - should take no more than an hour - as soon as you change the sensor the airbag warning will clear from the dash (will still be stored in the ecu until cleared - but airbag light will be out)

Hey RickT,

I called up P.C Motors (VW & Audi specialist) the guy said it will cost me £70 to get it replaced. I will give Jason a call and will say your name and the forum too!!

I gave them a call to see how much it will cost, and they said it will cost around £70. Tbh I am not going to do it myself as I dont want to cause more damage. Thanks for the advice Scooby, appreciate it. If I do change my mind then I will come back to you :)

The indi are charging me £70, I might strip out the floor mats and do a thorough check on the wires/connectors. I will PM you if I need any help :)
