Gear knob change

I have a 2007 B6 vw passat TDI 170BHP Sport and would like to change the gear knob for a Wolfsburg chrome replacement. Can anyone tell me how to remove the factory fitted gear knob:confused:

Carefully unclip the plastic trim at the bottom of the gator and lift up. Just under the gear knob you will see a crushed metal clip. Bent it open or cut it off. Now the gear knob and gator will lift off.

This is another of todays questions answered for me, just need to find a cheap replacement as I assume the dealer price won't be cheap!
