TOYO PROXES T1R'S FOR MY Passat

Hi all,

Have been having a look at a few tyres for my passat. I have heard great reviews about uniroyal rainsport2's but I think I will be going for Toyo Proxes T1R's have heard amazing reviews about these tyres. And when I was younger my gti's would have Toyo T1S's fitted and they were excellent!!.

My tyre size is 235 45 17w 94's. my only concern is wear due the passat being a bit on the heavy side. I can get these tyres for £375 for 4 which is a bargain!! Conti's etc.... im looking around £480.

I had the toyo's on my golf tdi 170 and found them to wear down very quickly. I got about 7000 miles out of mine and i wasnt driving with a heavy right foot either.
Dont get me wrong i found them to have fantastic grip on the dry road and were good in the wet, but ive changed them now to Bridgestone Potenza.

7000 miles that is shocking. I guess I wont be buying those tyres then.

I would get that kind of mileage in my gti's driving very hard.

My car originally came with Pirelli's maybe I should look at changing tyres back to them.

Dunlops on the front seem very noisy.
