bloody car!

Greetings. my passat will be the cause of my baldness. had a fault in the tailgate door as it is constantly unlocking and locking. went to the car tonight and battery flat as a pancake. got jumpstarted and now orange steering light and esp light s are on! any ideas? think ill see an auto spark in the morning. any help would be great

It's been suggested on here to drive it for a while and then stop and restart - the lights should have gone out.

yes, if you turn the wheel fully to the left and right again, the light will go out. as for the ESP light that will also go out over a small amount of time - I had these exact problems when I disconnected my battery to install a stereo.
