Hi all,

Picked up my passat today around 3pm very shinny and looked a picture :D.

Have had the car less than 5hrs and already I have problems :aargh4::aargh4::aargh4:.

Firstly the car has a Dynaudio hifi upgrade and there was problems with the amp. Apparently you have to buy a sealed box which contains the amp and other electrics. So great I thought. Got in the car stereo sounds the same :aargh4::aargh4:.

Have the receipt so they have replaced the sealed box. They had a quick look and wiggling the wires seems to get the sound back to the speakers. Further investigation is needed next week. :aargh4:

Also have just been pulled by PC Plod I have a rear number plate light out on the drivers side and also the indicator light in the drivers mirror. Are they both linked by a fuse?

Not having a good day in the passat :mad:.

I hope they can be sorted a.s.a.p as on the whole I think the car is great :Blush2::Blush2:

Lights out are not related. You need to fit new numberplate bulb and change the led unit in the indicator.

Not had chance to have a good luck due to it being dark. Are the number plates simply 2 scews and dead easy to replace and cost pennies?

As for the indicator in the mirror how expensive are they?

Number plate is two screws and a cheap bulb. Door mirror indicator is LED unit and nearly £40.

On the plus side it wont cost me a penny :D. Its just the hassle of driving back and forth :aargh4::aargh4::aargh4:

Get any work done thats needed now if you have a warranty, have a listen with the window down when you go over speed humps if you hear a creaking noise from the front end then its likely you have the lower arms and rubber bushes issue, get these replaced if you can for free its not dangerous just annoying in the summer when you drive with the windows down
