Audi A6 phone voice activation

Hi. i have just bought a 2008 Audi A6 Avant Le Mans which has voice activation for the phone kit. All the voice instructions and commands when you press the voice activation on the steering wheel is in German and I can't seem to find the option anywhere on the MMI or the phone to change this. When I say "dial"..i get a voice back in German saying "Wie Bitte"...it clearly doesnt understand english:D

On the phone in the armrest the language is set on English...as is the MMI. Am I missing something simple or is it something that a dealer has to sort for me?

I also have this problem. Have you rectified it yet? Can anyone help?

it was a 10 miunte fix at the local dealership - apparently the factory setting was german and needed changing to english on the system. Done under warranty. Its not something you can do on your own.

Not 100% sure until I look, but I'm fairly certain this could also be done by someone with VCDS (if your dealer will not sort this out, or wants to charge you).
