Wierd Problem

:confused:I have 2003 A4 1.9TDI Audi.

I've replaced the battery couple of days ago durring the replacement i heard kind of a leak for a second (pssss...)
since than my brake pedal goes hard from time to time and there is burned smell from the brakes.
Any ideas what it may be?

Maybe shorted a cable when fitting/removing terminal clamps and spiked a sensor?????wierd

Check your brake servo's pipes and cables are all fitted ok, its next to the battery!

Sounds very much like servo pipe has been dislodged or damaged when changing the battery, had mine out today to unblock the drain hole and it's quite easy to catch the sero vaccum pipe so if damaged it will hiss.

Have it checked urgently as it may effect you brake performance.
