Please Help-A8 Xenon Problem

I bought a 2006 4.2 tdi sport a few months back and the drivers side xenon has just turning orange when it's been on a few seconds is this something that can be sorted without spending a fortune? It is booked in to the dealers for next week i just want to be prepared.

could just be the bulb but they are not cheap so you will need to be sat down when you get the bill either way....hopefully it wont be the amplifier unit or you may need to lay down as falling of the chair might hurt !!

Just curious, did you sort this out? what was exactly wrong and how was it fixed?

I did sort it, turned out to be both the bulb and the amplifier. I got lucky though someone i knew in the trade had second hand bits so as a favour he charged me £40..... very lucky dread to think what it would have cost!!

very lucky the bulbs are normally 2 or 3 times that yet alone the amp
