Hi All
My 08 Reg Passat 170 sport saloon, went into dealers for a warranty job to be done on a Crank Shaft Oil Seal Leak, dealers replaced the seal and also fitted a new cambelt and tensioner (old one was covered in oil).
They also updated the ECU Software as i mentioned the car was sometimes stalling and also hesitant when pulling away from junctions.
Anyways, the thing is the car drives different from before :confused: it don't seem to have the turbo kick as it did before?? can't hear the whistle anymore, neither in 1st gear or 2nd, every now and then it will kick in on 3rd gear, it seems to struggle to reach above 80mph on the motorway, unlike before it used to cruise without forcing the accelerator, but now am having to push on the accelerator to get some go..! local driving mpg has dropped to around 35 and motorway i get 42 if lucky.. :aargh4:
Every now and then when stopped, the REVS will hold at 1K, the needle won't drop to normal revs below that, have to switch car on and off.
sometimes car drives does drive good and just goes.. other times it feels bogged up!
i'm going to arrange for it to go back to the dealers, hence looking for advice on what to say, i don't get any error lights on dashboard either.
