Just been looking at your other posts regarding this problem and it does sound like the waste gate bypass is cream crackered, more commonly seen on here as the N75. If you have the AFN engine they are about £80 and are located at the front of the engine on the offside.

what makes you so sure that the cleaning kit has actually cleaned the vanes? can you move the actuator arm by hand? does it move freely?
the cleaner may not have done the job you were expecting,it depends a lot on just how choked up the turbo is.
regards,
stewy.

Do you have access to a diagnostic computer and a hand operated vacuum pump?

Personally, I have given up on the Innotec treatment; I have decided that it just does not work very well. I treated a 110 A3 TDI and it still did overboosted. I pulled the turbo and stripped it and the vanes were still clogged solid. I sprayed some cleaner onto half the vanes and left it for 2 hours, it did not make the slightest impression on it.

as far as im aware its still the same fault code 17965. should b able to get a hold of a vacum pump. where would i need to connect it to to test the preasure? i think it might be a case of having to strip it down to clean it.

In 99% of cases 17965 is a coked up turbo. You test the unit with a vac pump by disconnecting the vac pipe from the capsule and operating the pump, the pull rod should move down and then back up freely when the vacuum is released. To clean it, the turbo must be removed to allow it to be striped down. I have given up doing this though, I take them off and give them to a turbo reconditioner to fully rebuild, life is too short to spend it cleaning turbo’s.
