Engine managment light

I have a mk4 golf gti,a few weeks back the engine warning light came on. The car still drove fine,no problems what so ever. I called out the rac and they hooked a computer up to the car. He said it was the sensor. I have just replaced the oxygen sensor but the light is still on. How do i get the light to go off or will it go off by itself

you need to put the light out with vag com

Light has been put out,comes on a few miles later.
