Hello all

Iam asking these questions on behalf of a friend who has a few issues with his Mk 4 golf.

Firstly when he parks his car downhill and there is a heavy shower the footwell fills up with water , what seal is causing this problem ? is it the main door seal or the small seal on the door its self?

secondly rear wash the wiper is workin but there is no water, how do i locate the pipe?

and lastly at what intervals does the cambelt need changing?

I know its a lot to ask ,, but ur answer would be greatly appreciated

many thanx
alex.

Which footwell driver-passenger side front back?
Remove the tailgate trim
Which engine are you referring to?

I think the leak could be coming from the seal behind the window carrier assembly plate ,run your hand along the bottom of the door trim,to see if it is wet,and check the rear footwell,as the rear door carrier plate could be also leaking and with the vehicle parked down hill the water will run into the front foot well.
Need the engine code, for the cambelt change however,we advise customers to be on the safe side,to replace the belt at 90000km or 4 years
