my door handle trims have been scratched up quite badly along with my centre console gear shift surround.
has anyone dealt with this in the past or just sourced replacements?

Just keep looking on ebay they will pop up eventually, I changed all of mine and it cost abot £40 in total. You have the face lift version which will make it a bit harder getting the centre consol trim and drivers door trim as they are different from the older models which have a different ash tray and most only 2 electric window switches instead of 4.

i'll keep an eye out then.
there is a black set which i suspect is a user on here's up for sale on ebay but i suspect its a 4 way switch affair and as you can see i only have electric fronts

with the centre console trim if you rub it with an old tea towel hard enough the crappy rubber paint surface can be completly removed to reveal a nice matt black finish, or as already suggested painted in gloss black looks pretty good
i did one of mine after being quoted almost £50 for a new one from audi and the chrome trim is extra!

i cant see many handles coming up on ebay in that colour though

As the learned gentleman correctly states <wink> you can remove the crappy finish left there by audi with a tea towel. If you know anyone who can spray properly (I'm not talking aerosol here!!) you should be able to easily get them re-sprayed (and lacquered to prevent the same thing happening) for not too much cash.

Shame they don't make them a little better in the first place I guess, but they've got to keep the guys in the spare parts departments employed somehow!! :)
