on my 03 plate 3.0 sport cab the passenger side tyre is worn loads more on the outside than the rest of it, theres a nasty rattle from under the car when driving over bumpy raods and anything over 75 or 80mph theres virbration, well its more a wobble if im honest coming through the steering wheel.

Been told could be track control arm bushes, this sound right? Dont want to let the local mechanic loose on it for few hours then no change and hit with a bill

Anything else it could be? She's done 77k

wobble could be down to unbalanced wheels - try a rebalance - they will also tell you if you have any buckled wheels.

tracking could cause uneven tyre wear - would probs pull when driving straight if tracking was out - is there play in the steering - ie does it feel a bit vauge or unresponsive, ie u turn and then have to turn a bit more to make the car turn? or does the steering feel tight - if vauge it could be ball joint or bush.

I'd say buckled wheel. I had same problem. When I put the wheel in question on the rear it made it alot better.
