Hi, Ive replaced my old dipstick funnel for a new one and attached it to the bracket with the two hex bolts. But every time I remove the, also new, dipstick, the funnel comes off as well. I have a 2003 1.8t. Any suggestions on how I could secure it any better? Thanks for your help in advance.

yes, the tube/funnel comes out along with the dipstick. i don't know if ive pushed it onto the sump properly as there's no click or feeling that is connected and ive haven't noticed an o-ring either on the new/old tube or on the sump end.

Hi Andy I had the same problem on my tdi 130. I didn't have an O ring, but with the plastic oil dipstick tube warmed up after a short drive I got the pipe to engage with the reassuring 'click' onto the metal pipe of the engine. Agree with Bez you do need to give it a good push.
