I'm wondering if anyone can help me out. I'm servicing my mums 2002 A4 2.0. Is there anyway I can reset the service indicator myself without bringing it to a garage??
Thanks

Try this
With ignition off, press and hold middle button on right side of instrument panel. Turn ignition to the "ON" position. Release button. "SERVICE!" or
"SERVICE IN xxxx MI" will appear in display. Press right hand button on right side of instrument panel until display clears. Turn ignition off.

You can definately do it and I think that solution above is correct (Ive done mine twice now). If it doesnt work, a search for 'Gendan service light reset' should give you the solution.

Benjie is right, i did the reset on mine A4. Hold the 'wrench' button, put the key in ignition, turn the key, when 'service!' appears, press '0,0' button, and that's it.
After few hundred miles your display will show you when is the next service due.
All this is already on the forum somewhere.
Cheers.

Glad it worked, yes it's in the how-to section, but I closed the window in firefox before I could link to the page!

As ray77 says the service due miles should come up after doing a hundred miles or so when the system figures out how long to go to next time.
