Hi all

I have an A4 1.9TDI (130bhp) B6. I think the timing belt was changed sometime round about 60k. It has now done 110k. Should i condsider getting it done again on this MOT (Feb)?

Cheers

Dead right you shoud, if your belt snaps it can and most likley will frig your engine. When the belt is done make sure the water pump is changed (known weak point) id also suggest all your pulleys and tensioners are changed aswell - if the dealer/indi are any good, they will recommend this all to you anyway
cheers

Second that.... Get it done ASAP.

Dealers still have an offer where the whole lot will be done for £349 which in my opinion is well worth it. (as mentioned, make sure they change the whole lot: Water pump, tensioners etc)
